Second time around for this one too. I think I'm getting too excited about being done & messing up! I tried to add a few pictures, but they messed eeverything up, so I'm just typing & getting done! As I said before:
WOO-HOO & YAY ME!! Finally at the end of the road!
It really wasn't that bad overall. Some of it I really couldn't have cared less about, but some of it was fun and useful. If you haven't figured out yet by reading this blog, I'm a very private person, so the things that you had to sign up for that post your info on the site or that shares with everyone else out there really aren't for me, but if I can be anonymous or its private I'm more willing to give it a try. I don't really think I would have a blog if it wasn't required for this and I probably won't continue it when this is all said and done. I liked making the avatar, and the things toward the end were more interesting to me than the beginning. I may use Zoho in the future, love the Pandora radio site I found and will definately use it (I'm listening right now), YouTube is OK but more of a time waster than the time I have to spend on things like that. My computer usage will probably remain about the same...bill paying, minimal email use, some word documents, and occassional games. But, all in all, I do feel like I'm a little better informed than I was when I started this, and I have several sites and "things" to follow up on and explore maore at some point in the future when I'm on my own and not just doing it for work!

week 9: thing 22:
Looked at Overdrive and NetLibrary. I created an account with NetLibrary since we are listed as an OCLC library. I'm not sure how much I would use this since I would rather read the book itself than have someone "read it to me", however, it is something I might try sometime when I'm traveling, especially since it's kind of hard to read after it gets dark and the driver doesn't like the book light shining at him. This is another one of those things I'll have to look into further when I have more time. ALMOST DONE!!... Moving on....
week 9: thing 21:
Of course, we all have used SirsiDynix to view podcasts of seminars or training sessions that we have missed. I like that option because I am not always working on the days when these things are offered, so I can view them at my convenience and not miss out on anything. I looked at some of the others in PodcastAlley and was rather disappointed, many did not play or were not what I expected...like one titled book reviews was actually a news report. The MERLIN site is always good. Moving on...almost done!
week 9: thing 20:
This is my second time to write this one... I was testing the first one that I linked and never saved it first. Anyways, I've seen YouTube before. My kids like it and sometimes show me clips they've found that they like. (I'm sure there's others that they haven't shown me too, like the ones they shouldn't have found.) I found one I really liked... I'll try again to get it in here, but if not I'll at least put the URL and you can go there yourself. I'm just glad I wasn't on the back of that bike! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6VS6qsLJeY
week 8: Thing 19:
This is becoming more fun. OK on this one I looked at a couple different ones. Under travel, I looked at Farecast which seemed good for people who fly alot, but usually when I travel I'm on the road, so that wasn't really what I wanted. So then I went to music and checked out Pandora Radio. It's really good! It let's you make up your own radio stations based on the artists/ songs you like (you can make up to 100 stations) and then click Quick mix and it lets you randomly listen to songs that match your preferences. Only problem I've found is I can't take it with me because it only works with a Sprint cell phone, and I don't have one! Well, I'll have to keep trying. Hopefully I can download it-maybe to that iPod I'm getting for this... As for use in the library, I do have one patron that is asks me every week or so to find a particular song for her, this just might help!
week 8: Thing 18:
This one I like and think I will find useful. I liked Zoho writer, although I have to research it a little more. I'm not sure I like the idea of just anyone being able to do things to change my documents. I have to see if that's the case, or if its just that you can share it with people you want to. Anyway, I like the idea of not needing Microsoft to be able to create documents and spreadsheets, especially since I've tried the new Word 2007 and really don't care for it much at all, not to mention the cost of buying the program! OK... getting closer to the finish...

week 7: thing 17:
OK- I tried to add my blog to the favorites page. I followed all the directions; created an account, typed blog name, clicked on link icon, and typed URL in the box, BUT I can't find myself on the list! Anyway, I tried...
